Nursery school

Children between the ages of one and five can attend preschool or educational care when the guardians are working, looking for work or studying. If you are on parental leave, your child can participate in the activities to a certain extent.

The preschool's mission is to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and the activities should be fun, safe and educational. The educational activities must be adapted to all children in an environment that challenges and attracts play and learning. In order for you and your child to feel safe with your stay at the preschool, we invite you as a parent to participate in the activities.

Sámi administrative municipality

Vilhelmina municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, which for the preschool means that:

• Every individual child has the right to receive preschool in full or to a significant extent in Sami.
• An increased Sami visibility.
• An expanded range of Sami language and cultural activities.

Vilhelmina municipality is working actively to implement the Act on National Minorities and Minority Languages, LoNM 2009:724.
