Alfred may have gotten into trouble after the explosion in the first film, but Andy Serkis will return as Batman's favorite butler in the long-awaited sequel to The Batman.
Andy Serkis confirmed this in an interview with Collider, where he revealed that the filmmakers behind The Batman - Part II adapted the filming schedule to him in order to get him into the film. He also has another major venture in the works in the form of The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, which he both directs and stars in (theatrical release in December 2027).
As a long-time collaborator of director Matt Reeves, Andy Serkis seems very excited about being back in The Batman - Part II:
